Lighthouse is also in the early stages of developing a numeric tsunami model for prediction and assessment capabilities of key areas in the Indian Ocean region. In conjunction with our ability to identify and measure incoming tsunami waves, the Lighthouse model will provide a prediction capability of the near shore impact these waves have along coastal areas.
